Gastronomy

In Torremolinos you can try all the popular dishes of the Costa del Sol´s cuisine in particular and the Andalusian in general, not forgetting the more than 250 international restaurants offering Italian, German, English, Scandinavian, American, Indonesian, Chinese and Japanese cuisine, making it possible to satisfy other tastes and palates.

Neverthelees, it is at the beach restaurants know as "chiringuitos", where the visitor finds the most authentic dishes of the local cuisine, like its fried fish know as "pescaito frito", this name became a trademark in la Carihuela in the early 60´s, its paellas, coquinas, shellfish soup, sardines, salt baked fish and the refreshing and nutritious gazpacho, made with our local ingredients; olive oil, tomatoes, garlic, vinegar and that special touch make it unique.

Other highly recommended typical dishes from Málaga are without doubt, the roasted bell pepper salad, where the baked peppers are cut into strips and mixed with a little onion and tomato, and later marinated in oil, vinegar and salt; el "adobo" (marinated fish lightly fried) and fish with "ali-oli" (garlic mayonnaise). Among the desserts, special mention goes to the typical "Tortas de Aceite de Torremolinos"
